There are two editor options for Discourse:
- The markdown editor and
- The rich editor.
Both editors have a toolbar that looks something like so:

The markdown editor is likely to be more familiar to most users of Ask.SageMath. The rich editor is meant to be more WYSIWYG. It’s easy to disable one or the other and it might make sense to use only the markdown editor here. Both are included on this site for illustrative purposes.
